Gracemount High School Library is a bright and welcoming whole school resource. The Library Resource Centre aims to support the curriculum and enhance literacy, both information literacy and creating a reading ethos in school.
- Promoting reading for pleasure
- Providing a range of resources to support students’ studies
- Providing a welcoming, stimulating environment
- Access to study space and computers
- Information skills lessons
- 20 PC’s and a printer for use in class and out with class time
Bookzilla
Bookzilla is a free app for upper primary and early secondary school students in Scotland. The app encourages pupils to read for pleasure, whether they are already regular readers or just embarking on their reading journey.
Young people can receive tailored book recommendations, see what’s popular among their classmates and challenge themselves to try something new with a reading dare. The app promotes different featured collections every month.

All fiction / story books are now arranged by genre or theme of the book.
Hopefully, this will make it easier for you to choose your next book.

Library opening times:
Monday- Thursday 8.15-4.00*
Friday 8.15-1.00*
* Closed at breaktime
The Library is open at lunchtime for homework, study/research and reading. There will also be clubs held e.g Manga, ECR and Book Group – check timetable on the library door for more information.
Escape Connect Relate

Teen Titles
Teen Titles magazine the book review magazine for children and teenagers featuring book reviews written by Edinburgh school pupils.
Gracemount pupils have contributed to the magazine since it started. There is more information about Teen Titles, including digital issues, on the Young Scot website.
