Media Studies

Since its first introduction at Gracemount High School in 2010 , the subject of Media has continued to broaden and develop into the popular and dynamic subject it is today.

Concerned with the exploration of the media industry and its function in society, students of Media are provided with the opportunity to investigate both the analytical and practical sides of the subject via the key internal units Analysing Media Content and Creating Media Content.

Across these units, students study a selection of media texts in preparation for the final exam whilst also developing their own media products in response to a negotiated brief.
