Music

Through music students acquire the skills to participate responsibly in social and cultural life and able to understand the world and Scotland’s place in it. Confidence, self-esteem, self-reliance and self-discipline are developed through the many learning situations that the students experience which range from individual instrumental practice to teamwork required and developed for small ensembles and large groups.

Students are given the opportunity to contribute to the life of the school and the wider community by participating in concerts, shows and community events.

As part of the music staff team we have six instrumental staff delivering tuition on brass, woodwind and percussion instruments and on guitar, singing and keyboard/piano.
