Wellbeing Base

The Well-being Base is a supportive learning environment for selected pupils in S1 – S3. We support the pupils one-to-one and in small groups by offering more provision and engaging lessons. We also help the young people with their literacy and numeracy, and provide access to outdoor learning, sport and a variety of fun activities.

The main aim of our Base is to enhance the social and emotional well-being of our young people and to help them regulate their behaviour. The Well-being Base is also a space within the school for nurture time, personal growth & development through varied learning. Overall, this will lead to the pupils getting the best from their school experience.

The Well-being Base will run in partnership with the wider school. The young people who are referred to the Well-being Base by the Pupil Support team will have access to a bespoke timetable. This will allow them to access mainstream class time, as well as a personalised curriculum that enhances their well-being.
