We would like to enable Touch ID for pupils, to make it easier for them to unlock their Empowered Learning iPads. In order to do this, we have been asked to make you aware that this option is going to be made available to pupils. As a result, we have updated the Home School Agreement to state this (see link below). This updated version is now live and will be used by all schools for all upcoming deployments.
If your child has already received an iPad under the Empowered Learning programme, then you do NOT need to complete another form.
If you have any concerns you may wish to view the article link below which explains it further. We can reassure you that, if Touch ID is enabled, the fingerprint data is encrypted and stored mathematically on the device in such a way that it is impossible for anyone to access it.
